Church Member Covenant – West Groton Bible Church
I believe in the Lord Jesus Christ alone for salvation from sin unto a repentant lifestyle. Furthermore, I have professed my faith before those who witnessed my testimony and baptism identifying with the death burial and resurrection of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. I solemnly and joyfully enter this covenant with the body of Christ at West Groton Bible Church.

I will maintain a daily active walk and relationship with God the Father for my personal growth and for the good of the body, following the Spirit and forsaking the flesh, trusting in His faithfulness.

I will walk together in Christian love, endeavoring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. I will be slow to take offense, always ready for reconciliation, and take any ownership of my actions.

I will not forsake the assembling of the body together but faithfully attend and actively participate in the church’s meetings, church services using my spiritual gifts for the edification of the body.

I will faithfully participate in the ordinances of the church, and endeavor to be unified in doctrine and the instruction thereof. In a desire to help the body fulfil its calling to teach, train, edify and spur others on to godliness I will engage in activities that grow and benefit the body.

I will remember others in prayer and do my part to help them in times of sickness, distress or loss.

I will both submit to the church’s discipline upon myself and lovingly assume my responsibility to participate in the discipline of other members if needed, as taught in Scripture for the purpose of obedience to God, repentance from sin and reconciliation of the believer to the body.

I will contribute cheerfully and regularly to the support of the ministry, the expenses of the church, the relief of the poor, and the spread of the gospel through all nations.

I will strive by God’s grace and power to be wise with outsiders, showing them in our actions Christlikeness and holiness. Actively being salt and light to all those who God has placed in our path.

I will value Gods ordained church at WGBC in my words and actions until God calls me elsewhere.
